I have no idea why I made myself go through this every year (for the 3rd time this year) but yup, I've signed myself up for the Penang Bridge Run AGAIN! I guess I am that type that never learn from mistakes FML!However, there is a slight difference this year. I actually trained for the marathon! It started with me wanting to lose some weight for my wedding photoshoot, but my treadmill/jogging session somehow became a habit.I didn't lose much weight (if any :( sad) but my stamina was built up indirectly. From struggling to complete a 20 minute on treadmill/ 2 rounds at the park, I now can easily jog for 1 hour/ 10 rounds at the park.Ok, enough of that. So last Sunday was the Penang Bridge Marathon. We took part in the 10km which started at 6.15am. When we arrived at 5-ish, it was raining. Steph and I hesitated whether to run or not but we decided to brave the drizzle! I never regret doing it! Thank goodness the rain stopped after a while.
Oh, one small hiccup before the run started. My dearie Steph forgot to bring her running chip! The chip is to record her running time but this scatterbrain left it at home!!! Omg!

At first she thought it was in the car so she made YM (who sent us there) to come back. But it wasn't hahahaha~ FYM'sL. Anyway, she still did the run with me.We both expected to struggle a little since we never actually tried 10km before but to our surprise, it was quite a breeze. We jogged at a consistent speed and we managed to finish the marathon in 67 min (according to official results).I know it wasn't a great record to many, but both of us felt so proud of our own achievement! And because we finished the marathon within the given 1.5 hours, we got ourselves a finisher medal. Happy whee~

Yay~ The 10km run finisher medal! And this was actually the first year I don't feel totally "handicapped" after the run. Not even a muscle pain! Awesome! I guess it is really different with proper training :)*Other updates:- In contrary to popular believes, I am actually quite busy. That explains my lack of updates *ahem*. I've got a lot to do, both at work and after work.
- I was quite depressed lately because of many things. Thanks to all those who had given me encouragements and supports, even if it is just a short message, sms, email, msn message. It means a lot. A bigger thanks to those who listened to my rants patiently without knocking my head. And the biggest thanks to my boss Audrey, who spent a day just to hear me out :) I am lucky I know.
- I should get back to work. I need to finish up my job for the sake of $$$

@Ashley Swimming is very effective for slimming too, but too bad I can't swim :(
