Happy 2010~ I know I am late but Happy "belated" New Year anyway :)
I had been attempting to write down my New Year resolutions on the first day, but I gave up half way and went for an afternoon nap instead. I never follow any plans, so I don't bother planning anymore.
Somehow I dragged my first post of the year until now. And guess what? I am gonna blog about food!
I actually don't want to start the year with a food post cause it will make me look like a glutton but the Happy Weekend photos are not with me YET and I am dying to blog (cos I don't feel like working today).
Oh, I went to this really awesome little cafe in the heritage enclave (near Cheah Kongsi)- Amelie Cafe.
The nice thing about this cafe is everything here are DIY items by the young couple who owned this cosy little place.

From the decorations, to the furnitures. They adapted the "environmental friendly" and "reuse" concept and turned junks into awesome art! Here is the lovely little kitchen. It reminds me of those beautiful cafes for backpackers. Oh, and the lovely couple who are so so so busy that day! Actually I know the female owner, YY.
Gosh, the kitchen is so cute! It almost look unreal to me!If you are a dog lover, you might want to meet Sunday, the super duper cute Maltese of the owners.
VY who joined me for lunch that day said a lame joke when I asked her whether she knows the name of the dog. She said: Oh, it's Sunday. But you can call her Yesterday tomorrow (we went there on Sunday) *gulped*.
Amelie Cafe serves drinks and bread on weekdays. But you can get to taste some of their "special home recipe" on weekends. So that is what we had this time.Chicken something-something... They haven't decide a name for this dish yet. Hahaha. The cafe is very new so they are still in the "experimenting" mode.
It's basically honey baked chicken (very very ultra tender), baked potato, toast covered i homemade pineapple sauce. I like the chicken. Yumz~
Laksa Pasta. A fusion dish that combined Penang must-try Laksa with homemade pasta. The taste is ok but a little too dry for my liking.
And my favorite of the day... the special sweet corn! Yumz~ It's like super nice. Baked with cheese and black pepper, squeeze on some lime juice and it's yumz to the max!!!
